I’ve always been a little envious of women with lovely legs. The moment the sun comes out so do long tanned limbs wearing high hemlines and heels looking gorgeous and feminine. While there’s me with my much shorter, paler legs still hibernating under black 60 denier tights!
Every year getting my legs out is always a bit of a thing, but sooner or later it eventually has to happen. Thank goodness there’s an abundance of beauty products to help make the most of what you’ve got.
Hair Removal
I opt for shaving with good quality disposable razors like Gillette. It’s quick cheap and fuss free, waxing is a longer lasting option which also has the advantage of softening the hairs. Gillette 4 pack £3.99
Exfoliation
If anything like me your legs are still recovering from winter and a little dry and patchy. Exfoliating a few times a week keeps unsightly scaly legs at bay. I love using Soap and Glory’s Sugar Crush Body Scrub. Sugar Crush £8.00
Moisturise
This is a must all year round to keep your skin hydrated and silky smooth. Pre-tanning add a generous amount to your knees and ankles to prevent un-even tanning. I have quite a few brands I like and use, amongst my favourites in my bathroom are Bliss, Laura Mercier and Soap and Glory.
Tanning
I’m not a “fake tan” kinda girl but in the summer months I like to use a gradual tan to add a healthy glow to even out my skin tone improving the overall appearance of my legs. My favourites are Dove Summer Glow, St Tropez Gradual Tan and James Read Gradual Tan. James is the King of fake tans with a celebrity clientele and an ever developing line of self tanning face/body gorgeous products that are truly amazing! Gradual Tan £24
Feet
That’s a whole other blog post right there, just a quick mention to moisturise your heels/feet. There’s nothing worse than dry heels peeking out of sling backs or flip flops! And of-course finish with a pretty nail color on your toenails. Heel Genius £5.50
