Perfect Jeans – Joe’s Skinny Stretch Ankle Jeans

Back when I was 20, finding jeans was relatively easy to do.  Although, that was probably because I weighed nearly nothing and had no hips.  Over time, I think it becomes more and more difficult to find jeans that work for your ever-changing body.  Don’t get offended or scared.  Its the truth.  Every few years, our bodies usually change, even if it is ever so slightly.  Weight redistributes itself and sometimes, when you wake up and try to wear your favorite pair of jeans, they just don’t look as stunning as they used to.  There are more reasons for this other than your body.  Jeans are not all created equal.  They don’t look good forever, I don’t care who you are.  Styles changes and fabrics stretch over time.  People who claim they fit in their high school jeans, shouldn’t be bragging about it, because unless you are more than five years out of high school, you look terrible, I guarantee it.

  • Jeans stretch, change, fray, shrink, get worn out after many washings
  • Jean styles change slightly over time

If you want your jeans to fit you correctly, and more importantly, in a way that make you look your absolute best, you need to splurge on high quality jeans every other year or so at the least.

I happened upon some of the most fabulous jeans ever at my local TJ Maxx.  Joe’s Skinny Stretch Ankle jeans are my perfect jeans right now.  The fabric is perfection.  The jeans are snug and thick enough to pull in some of my problem areas while having just the right amount of stretch to be flattering and comfortable at the same time.  I was on the path to a meltdown because I could not find a good pair of black skinny jeans that were flattering.  Most of them have such thin fabric that no matter what size I tried on, I looked like a stuffed sausage, which is not a good look. I got my pair for $59.99.  Which goes to show you, you don’t always have to shell out $180 for the perfect pair of jeans.  Just be sure they fit you.
