Percolate (bedok) Cafe

I grew up in the East of Singapore and am very happy to know that there are few new cafés sprucing up in the east of heartland. We had visited Togather Café located in Bedok North few months ago and are excited to try out the food and drinks at newly open cafe Percolate! Just last week, frog and I had visited Percolate located in Bedok North. The café is just located below the HDB flats. Percolate has a small seating capacity with the walls of the café painted in black and white with wood-textured furniture. Frog and I like the vibe of the cafe – clean, cozy and minimalist.

Looking through the menu, there are limited choices of food available for ordering. There are only simple sandwiches, cakes, tarts and coffee to choose from. The bakes and cakes here come from Cakestand, a bakery located at Katong Shopping Centre that also operates an online order system. The pastries are from French bakery BAO. The tea comes from local tea company Amuse Projects, and the coffee from Papa Palhelta Terra Firma

Curry Egg Mayo Sandwich $7.00

Interesting flavour egg mayo sandwich that goes well with the croissant!

Red Velvet Cake

The red velvet cake is not too sweet and the cake is moist!

Brewed Coffee $5.00 ; Lover’s Rose Tea $5.00

I had asked for top up for hot water for my floral tea, though I was not too sure if top up is allowed. To my surprise, the staff was very polite and asked me if I wanted to top it too full or half full. Though the food choices are limited, the ambience and service of the staff do compensate for it. Perhaps quality versus quantity?

Great chilling out places with friends for an afternoon tea break! However we do hope that Percolate can introduce main dishes and more choices of coffee drinks in their menu. I guess this will greatly attracted more customers to the café!
