Researchers at Harvard University showed off their latest creation, RoboBee which they claims to be the world’s smallest flying robot. Just recently, Professor Robert J Wood and his team successfully demonstrated the flight of this tiny robotic insect.

“No such vehicle has been demonstrated to date because of the severe miniaturisation challenges that must be overcome for an insect-sized device,” Researchers stated in ScienceMag. Like they’ve said, this tiny robot only the size of a penny, has ability to flap its’ wings at 120X per second. Yet it’s far from complete, these developers plans to improve RoboBee to make its’ landing and maneuvers better.

Check out the video for the tiniest, awesome flying action.
