The Island Garden City of Samal is a lovely tropical island in the Davao Gulf adjacent to Davao City. It is very popular with its pristine white sand beaches set amidst the still predominantly sleepy rural villages. I spent a weekend there in August and now I'm already yearning to be back there, relaxing and savoring this tranquil view.
