Very few people know this, but I have recently put up a charitable foundation with friends here and abroad that aim to provide shelter to abandoned and abused children. We have been fortunate enough to have so far received some donations and have just concluded our first local fundraiser successfully through a garage sale. And we are only 4 months old!
Our first project is to raise enough money, at least Php 1M, to buy a lot on which to build our first house for about 12 children. We’re still a long way, but we’re getting there. We hope to be able to achieve our goal by June of this year.
Following our local fundraiser, I have decided to sponsor an online shop as another means of raising funds for our cause. I have gathered my preloved items and continue to receive donated items as well to be sold on the online store. All proceeds will go to Balay Dalangpan directly.
