Just when we were starting to think tablets can’t innovate anymore, Panasonic has entered the market with a gigantic tablet that will change the purpose of tablets for good. Dubbed “Toughpad” new Panasonic tablet features a whopping 20-inch display with 3,840 x 2,560 resolution, Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and gets powered by the latest Windows 8.1.

Panasonic says “the new tablet is designed to create new value for users with a more realistic and intuitive operating environment than paper or a display.  This tablet embodies the characteristics of printed media that existing personal or tablet computers cannot provide, such as texture rich rendering, natural hand-writing and a light weight and thinness for easy mobility.”

Thanks to its’ larger size, this tablet weighs in at 5.27 lbs (about 2.3 Kg), which will probably make it harder for users to hold the device on one hand and work with another. Even though, the company claims business users will find the high-end features of this tablet more useful than others. However those same features will be eating up the battery faster than ever as the product page states it has only 2-hours of run time on single charge for the new tablet.

Panasonic Toughpad is set to go on sale in the U.S. in January for $6000, according to Engadget.
