Apart from the Philippines, other countries like Thailand, Japan, Mexico and Switzerland are also encouraging their citizens to travel locally in order to kickstart the economy and revive the tourism sector. According to an article by the World Economic Forum, some of these countries are even subsidizing their citizens' local vacation trips, incentivizing domestic tourism with cheap travel and discounts and providing free nights and car hire.
If you and your loved one are planning to go to some of the local tourist destinations that have recently reopened like Baguio and Boracay, one of the ways you can make the most out of it is by packing the right kinds of stuff. To help you out a little, here's a packing list that will make your next local couple's trip count:
Documents and Important files
You and your significant other may not be traveling overseas, but it continues to be important to have a few documents that can confirm your identity and ensure some sense of safety. Some of the documents you shouldn't forget are government-issued IDs and travel permits. If you are planning on traveling via private car, it also pays to make sure that you have your car's official receipt (OR) and certificate of registration (CR) with you. To keep these important documents from getting misplaced, store them in organizers that have impeccable storage capabilities, as well as safety and anti-crime features.
Toiletries and First-Aid Kit
Even if you plan on staying in a hotel where toiletries are typically provided, it is still highly advisable to have your own set of toiletries. Now that the pandemic is still very much real in most parts of the country, you would want to limit your use of unfamiliar products - and bringing your own set of toiletries is one of the many ways you can do just that. Aside from toiletries, it would also be ideal to have a small first-aid kit. In addition to the basic stuff that such kits contain, it would be in your best interest to bring along some insect repellent, antihistamines, diarrhea medications, extra alcohols and sanitizers, and prescription medicines if ever you are taking any.

There is nothing that can boost a woman's confidence quite like good-fitting lingerie. Whether you are planning to reserve an elaborate piece for a memorable night or have a few ensembles you can wear under your everyday travel clothes, it is important to focus on quality, size and style. Chargers and Batteries
While a local trip is a good chance to unwind and unplug, you still have to bring your chargers and batteries. This way you can ensure that you're able to stay connected with friends and family, be up to date with the latest news (especially since quarantine guidelines change every so often) and capture the highlights of your trip with a fully charged camera or smartphone.
Traveling these days may be a tad bit harder given current circumstances but with a little preparation, you can still have the best couple's trip even in
the face of a pandemic.
