Original Song Breakdown: Ice

This is the third and final track on my one day EP. This song was the last one I did, and I was pressed for time so it ended up a little rushed. Although the other two are more complete, I still really enjoy this one. It was an attempt at writing a song that a little more space in it. I added an extra bar at the end of the progression just to give it that space.
The song is just about running away from all of your problems until your alone, and trying to convince yourself that you like it that way. It has a basic three part structure. I like to think that in the second section, the gaps are when the character is realizing that everything isn't as perfect as it seems, and then it snaps back to that happy section. It's just drilling into your head your happy and ignoring reality.
I think it came pretty quickly and does all it needs to do. All in all, I'm happy with the track.
