Oriflame #OBloggers Meet for Launch of HairX TruColour at Shiro Lounge, Mumbai

Hi everyone,Last few days were very eventful and exciting for me  as I attended 2 blogger events as many of you may know as I had posted about it on Facebook. I was invited by the Oriflame India team for the launch of their first ever range of Hair color in India called Oriflame HairX TruColour range on  8th May 2014.A few selected bloggers and people from the press were there too for the hair  launch event. As many would now that Oriflame as a brand/company is primarily into skin care and make up but Hair Color is something that they have now forayed into.The event was held at Shiro Lounge, Mumbai.


The event was well organized and we were welcomed by the PR and organizers where they gave us some printed information about the Hair Color range and the current month Oriflame catalog where they have already started selling them through the individual Oriflame representatives. There was a hair styling booth for all the girls to get their hair styled - curling, straightening and blow drying and there was hand and foot massage too. All the girls seemed to enjoy the ambience and were all chit chatting and catching up with friends and fellow bloggers, clicking selfies and pictures too. Yummy starters and wine was served too.

We had a live band performing for us with the lead singer Gaurav Dagaonkar singing amazing mash ups of Hindi and English tunes. He has an amazing voice I tell you  and all the ladies loved him. Watching a live band is so much fun, I enjoyed it a lot.
We were then officially introduced to the Oriflame's newest hair color range - The HairX TruColour range, available in 6 shades to suit the Indian skin tone by the Marketing Director for Oriflame India - Sharmili Rajput who also introduced us to their hair expert Pallavi Sehgal. Pallavi  did gave us a lot of in depth information about hair which was new to me as I am the last person to bother about my hair. She then demonstrated how to apply the hair color on a model and suggested using the hands instead of brushes for perfect application on the hair,of course you need to wear hand gloves for that . She also did mention using a Hair Color Shampoo and Conditioner is a must for the color to last for a decent amount of time on the hair. 
The results were really good on the model- the hair looked shiny and soft. She also mentioned that you need to touch up your hair color after every 45 days depending on the number of gray hair you may have and though it has ammonia may not be harmful for the hair as the proportion is safe enough keeping in mind the general well being of everyone's hair and also its presence makes the color last longer on the hair.
In the end we had some spot prizes and I won the goodie bag as I had an Oriflame eye liner with me. The goodie bag included a hair color box and a color protect shampoo and conditioner. Lastly we had a photo booth where we could get our snaps clicked by the photographer and got the print too :) 

Overall a day well spent and yes I met Jhilmil from Beauty and Beyond blog for the first time and had a great time with her. I also met some new bloggers too. As it was my first event with Oriflame it shall be a memorable one.
