#operationpink – Estee Lauder Companies 2013 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Each year, the Estee Lauder Companies such as Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Origins and Estee Lauder raise funds for Breast Cancer research and support activities. These brands usually launch a number of special edition beauty products that not only spread the word about breast cancer but also help drive funding – a portion of the proceeds from the sales of such special edition products always goes towards a breast cancer foundation.

This year, the EL Companies is raising funds to provide mammograms for women from low income communities. As such, 100% of the profits from the sales of products listed above will go towards Breast Cancer Foundation Beam15 Project. In Singapore, these items are already available for sale at the various beauty counters in major shopping malls. 

If you’re looking to try the new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (reviewed HERE), this might be a great time to do so – this special edition comes with a charming pink ribbon bracelet and retails at the same price of S$150 (I’m pretty confident it is the 50ml version; just for reference, the 30ml version retails at S$106).

I ran around and finally managed to get hold of the Bobbi Brown French Pink Set (S$80) which features a large pink blush and a pink-handled face blender brush. The last I checked, it has sold out in Tangs Orchard – I picked mine up from Tangs Vivocity.

I’ve yet to photograph it and try it out but from swatching the in-store tester, it comes across as a soft, rather neutral pink that I think will work on a range of complexions. It is much larger than the standard Bobbi Brown Blush – the French Pink Blush weighs in at 8gm vs the usual weight of 3.7gm. I’ll be featuring it soon so more on that later.
