OOTD: Fireworks Party & DSUK Comes to Glasgow

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
I had a busy little weekend this week! On Saturday mornings I volunteer at a Scottish SPCA Animal Rehoming Centre where I’ll start as a full time employee in a weeks time. This Saturday I was helping a member of staff with the dogs. There are a lot of staffie crosses at the center. It’s such as shame as they had a totally undeserved reputation as being aggressive. In reality they are wonderfully loyal, trusting, friendly and brilliant with children. Unfortunately though they are dog of choice for the shellsuit brigade which tarnishes the reputation of these lovely doggies.
On Saturday night Mr Juicy’s family had a fireworks party. Mr Juicy has FIVE siblings so family gatherings at his parents house are always busy, noisy and fun! Mr Juicy’s step mom is Hungarian so there’s always some interesting food on offer as well.
On Sunday morning I went to a DSUK sample sale at St Andrew’s in the Square. This event hasn’t been to Glasgow in years so I was really excited to go. My friend and I even bought VIP tickets so that we could get early entry and a cheeky little goodie bag.

Unfortunately we were both disappointed with this event. Neither of us bought anything. A lot of the brands on offer we had never even heard of (not in a cool ‘underground’ way!) and others were just a bit naff. Moschino, DKNY, Ralph Lauren Polo, that sort of stuff. I’ll be saving my pennies for the My Wardrobe or Net A Porter sales. Even TK Maxx has a much better selection of discounted designer goods and I don’t have to pay £30 for a ticket to get into TK Maxx! On the up side though, it’s always great to catch up with my friend. I used to work with her everyday and I miss seeing her all the time. Also, the venue was very pretty, St Andrew's in the Square is a converted church.

It's freezing in Scotland now. Properly, face numbingly freezing! Despite this I was happy because it meant I was able to wear my sparkly jumper from Zara. It's Christmassy without being in your face. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be living in this jumper from now until April!
