One Song That I Can Play On A Loop #WriteAPageADay #pebbleinwaterswrites

Baba was in the army. Perhaps this was the reason for the feeling of patriotism in me since childhood. I remember, that my school used to change every time there was a change in Baba's posting. I may not have been in any school for more than two years. I was fond of singing since childhood. That is why, whenever such an occasion arose, I used to sing patriotic songs at school functions. On one such occasion, our sports teacher asked some of us to bring our tricolor flag from the store room. One of us in the store tried to defame the flag. He deliberately started placing his shoes on the flag after throwing it on the floor. If it had happened by mistake, I would have explained him with love, I would not beat him.

But under these circumstances when he was insulting our national flag deliberately, I could not bear this. When we reached the ground carrying the flag, the boy was bleeding from his nose. Maybe I hit him too hard. Before Baba came to know about this from anyone else, I told Baba as soon as I reached home. He was very happy to hear this. I was in army school those days. The school principal had given strict warning to that boy. This passion of patriotism was in my mind all the time, it used to resonate as a song in me, always.  It was a song that I could sing for the rest of my life in a loop.
