Hello Friends!!  Hope y’all have had an amazing week so far!  It’s almost the weekend!  Hooray!  :)  Yesterday, I was on a Good Morning Texas segment wearing some fab pieces from Clothes Circuit.  Cynthia of Oh So Cynthia went over the concept of “Investment Dressing” and highlighted how to get designer pieces at a fraction of retail cost.  Totally my kind of segment…

So here is that khaki shift dress styled for Fall!  I paired with army green accessories like that blanket scarf and knee high boots (pushed down for a different look). Then, I threw my camel coat over it for added warmth.  Since Texas “winter” weather consists of cool morning and then warm afternoons, layering pieces is the way I can stay warm and/or cool!

THE STYLE Rx: A blanket scarf is a great accessory to have in your wardrobe arsenal.  1) It creates wonderful volume and makes a beautiful statement.  2) It can hide food stains! {I’m messy AND have a child!}  3) You really can use it as a blanket if needed {I’ve used this on a outdoor train ride when we were ill-prepared parents and didn’t have the proper jacket for Little M!}

Anyhow, I love how this dress serves me throughout the year.  You can see how it’s styled for Summer HERE.  And what’s your secret for transitioning Summer clothes for Fall?  {Mine is always a scarf +/- blazer.}
