Take a stroll along Place Massena: Place Massena is Nice’s main square and a venue where most of the city’s main events take place. This includes the city’s famous Christmas markets as well as the Nice carnival. It is built over the Paillon river and is famous for the Sun fountain and seven statues set on high poles which is an intriguing peice of art. These statues which are lit up at night symbolize the seven continents of the world.
Place Massena also leads to Avenue Jean Médecin which is the main shopping street of the city.

Bargain hunting in Cours Saleya: Located within the old town, Cours Saleya is a picture of vibrant activity. Opening as early as 6.00 am in the morning, it is home to the colourful flower market all days of the week except Mondays. You can also shop for fresh fruits and vegetables here apart from floral beauties. On Mondays, Cours Saleya hosts a flea market where you can lay your hands on vintage clothes, jewellery, antiques, artefacts, knick knacks and the like.
Admire the Mosaic of Architectural Designs: If you are a fan of art, architecture or design, Nice does not disappoint. The city is dotted with several grand hotels, villas and chateaux homes that boast of the French provincial style of architecture. Elaborate stuccos, brick facades and a symmetric plan are some of the key features of this design.
