Oh So Heavenly...

By Prettyandtasty1 @prettyandtasty
As I’ve visited the German markets in Birmingham (postscoming soon!) yesterday for the first time this year, I didn’t get the chanceto satisfy my craving for a sweet dessert as the stalls were near closing time.Luckily, we recently had discovered a dessert shop (not far from city centre) andknew this would be the place to go to! Oh so heavenly...This place is exactly what it is named... a small shop floorbut it’s worth the wait for heaven on a plate. This was my second visit toHeavenly Desserts and yep craving satisfied:D. Before entering the store you can even smell the waffles being freshlycooked, you just want to be seated immediately and have your order made in aninstant. Let me leave you with a description of the orders we hadmade and don’t tell me that it doesn’t sound appealing? Hehe.. 1)Ferrero Royal (£7.10)Tap your spoon into this Ferrero Royal Waffle and discover a richgolden Waffle, smothered with rich warm Nutella, sprinkled with chopped nuts, adorned with crushed luxury Ferrero Rocher Chocolates, finally combined with aHazelnut Supreme ice cream scoop and topped with whipped cream. You’ll savourthe sweet, velvety richness of the classic gourmet dessert in every bite.Oh so heavenly...
We had ordered this before on ourfirst visit and first impression was that it was plated differently which is niceas it seems like you’re trying the same order for the first time again. Agenerous coating of Nutella, pieces of Ferrero Rocher on a massive waffle; whatmore could you ask for? Soo delicious! Even better when there’s also a scoop ofHazelenut ice-cream to go with it all...Mmm.
2)I Might Aswell (£3.90? not too sure) Our Delicious Famous Fudge Brownie will truly captivate your senses. The gorgeous Brownie is served with piping hot Custard and drizzled with warmBelgian Milk Chocolate sauce. A truly indulgent experience. Oh so heavenly...Achildhood classic chocolate brownie and custard. The brownie was rich inflavour and of course chocolaty. You can’t go wrong with this all-timefavourite. J However, the custard was on the cold-side which was disappointing as it would have been aperfect dessert.
3)White Kiss (£6? Not too sure)Pure luxury in every bite, this Beautiful Golden Waffle or Crepe is served with warm White Belgian Chocolate, whipped cream, white chocolate shavings and a scoop of Stracciatella ice cream. It is the perfect balance of intensity and sweetness.
Oh so heavenly...Like all the desserts served with waffles they all have a generous amount of topping. This White Kiss was covered with white Belgian chocolate syrup which was very enjoyable if you’re a big fan of white chocolate as it’s not overly sweet. My guest suggests that it would have been better if there was added white chocolate chips into it.
Here are a few snaps of the desserts we had during our first visit – I don’t remember if these are the correct names as these were taken a while ago before this post.1) I’ll have what he’s having.Oh so heavenly...
2) I’ll have what she’s having.Oh so heavenly...
3) Ferrero Royal.Oh so heavenly...
Overall, the desserts itself was pleasingly delicious, having being there for the second time round the choices on the menuwas still overwhelming and still as good as we first tried them. The downfall of the second visit was the service we encountered. My guest had ordered a white Belgian hot chocolate, (see picture below)Oh so heavenly...But, when it arrived it just looked and tasted like a regular hot chocolate. When we had asked a waiter he explained that the white Belgian chocolate was not meant to be visible as white chocolate but it should taste of it. – Yet, it still tasted like a regular hot chocolate to my guest? Myself and 3 other guests had ordered Green Tea and, again when it arrived it distinctively smelt of peppermint and tasted just like it. The waitress that had served us did try help to solve the problem however we still believe that they served us the wrong order.
All in all, there is no place like Heavenly Desserts in Birmingham and for this reason I would visit again despite having stumbled upon bad service for the drink orders. Also, I love how they named their desserts! And a great bonus is their opening times:
Mon – Thur: 13:00 – 00:00Fri: 15:00 – 02:00Sat: 13:00 – 02:00Sun: 13:00 – 00:00I would rate Heavenly Desserts 6.5/10.
