NSA Keeps All Your Dick Pics in a Database, Edward Snowden Says

John Oliver from HBO’s Last Week Tonight show has had a rare chance to do a face-to-face interview with the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, at a secret location in Russia. In this rather humorous interview, Snowden explains how the US government have teamed up with tech giants like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft to secretly snoop on user data.

Of all the questions John Oliver could ask from the world’s most wanted man, his only concern was to know if the NSA can see his dick pics that he share over the internet. And the answer was YES. Snowden said that the NSA not only see these private pics but also stores them for safe keeping.

“The good news is, there is no program named The Dick Pic Program,” says Snowden. “The bad news is they are still collecting everybody’s information, including your dick pics.”

Snowden used Google Gmail as an example and “Dick Pics” as a metaphor to explain how the NSA snooping works.

“If you have your email somewhere like Gmail, hosted on a server overseas or transferred overseas or at anytime crosses outside the borders of the United States, your junk ends up in the database.”

The NSA actually do this to find terrorist memos hidden in porn. A former NSA agent has told The Daily Beast that the NSA actually has a special room for monitoring porn clips.

But that doesn’t give the US government the right to spy on everyone’s private junk, right? So, should you stop taking pics of your junk? Edward Snowden says NO.

“You shouldn’t change your behavior because a government agency somewhere is doing the wrong thing. If we sacrifice our values because we’re afraid, we don’t care about those values very much,” said Snowden.

John Oliver has been using a humorous approach to inform people in the US about serious matters like net neutrality, putting it in simple terms that everyone can understand. According to CNN, Snowden was impressed by John Oliver journalism and agreed to join the interview in hopes of reaching out to more people.
