Nook GlowLight

While Amazon offers its Paperwhite LED-equipped e-ink reader, its somewhat humble Barnes&Noble counterpart entices readers with a recently rolled out new edition of its reader called NOOK GlowLight that also allows you to read after dark. The new Nook comes with a 6-inch touchscreen featuring a 758 x 1024 pixel resolution, as well as 4GB internal memory which allows for up to 2,000 books. Those heaps of new content can be uploaded either wirelessly via WiFi, or through a standard mico USB cable. Its battery is good for up to 8 weeks on a single charge with the WiFi off and you can recharge it via a USB in about 4 hours. $119
