Oppo Reno 11 Pro AI Eraser Rolling Out Globally

Just last week, OnePlus followed in the footsteps of Samsung and Google by launching an artificial intelligence-based photo editing feature called OnePlus AI Eraser for their smartphones. This time Oppo has also announced its own AI Eraser feature for its Oppo Reno 11 series. The company claims that the Reno 11 series will be the first smartphone in its segment to feature advanced generative AI image editing capabilities.

Oppo AI Eraser will be available on Reno 11 series phones

Oppo says that with their new AI Eraser feature, it will be possible to draw a circle over unwanted objects in the image and erase them. AI will intelligently detect the unwanted object inside the circle and remove it from the image. The eraser will then fill the space of the removed object with content that matches the background or surroundings. Commenting on this new feature, Leon Wang, Director of Product Planning Department, Reno Series, said that Oppo is committed to enriching the everyday experience through technology for everyone.

Users will be offered a normal looking image enhanced by AI when the unwanted object is removed. Oppo AI Eraser will come as an in-built feature of Gallery and is claimed to be different from other such tools and capable of creating a “natural-looking” image. Oppo partner OnePlus’ AI Erase feature is currently available on OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G and OnePlus Open models.

Notably, Oppo has confirmed that the AI Eraser tool will be rolled out to the Oppo Reno 11, Reno 11 Pro and Reno 11F smartphones through an over-the-air (OTA) update in early April. Incidentally, Oppo has launched the Reno 11F smartphone in India under the name Oppo F25 Pro. The feature will be rolled out globally on the Reno 11 series of phones and will be available in select regions The eraser will reportedly be launched in the Philippines market initially and will be available in other markets around the world in the coming weeks.
