Photo-sharing service Instagram cuts ties with a key connection element with Twitter in a bid to direct its users to its own website.
Instagram, in a confirmation, said the support for “Twitter cards” is no longer valid. The cards allow users to see directly Instagram pics on Twitter messages.

UPDATE!!!
I just tried checking Twitter this morning for some Instagram pictures and i’ve found out the pics are displaying without any problems unlike what has been reported elsewhere that their Instagram pics are not displaying well in Twitter.
