Next Angry Birds Game Will Be A Medieval RPG

Posted on the 13 March 2014 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

According to Kotaku, this upcoming Angry Birds game dubbed “Angry Birds Epic” will be a turn-based adventure role-playing game, first in the series, and it will include a campaign with a strong story. Rovio has also revealed a few details about a crafting system in the game which allows players to build weapons, armor and potions. Obviously, Rovio will sell most of these features through in-app purchases.

I can’t remember the last time I played an Angry Birds game since it’s no longer cool to even mention the name. But as a fan of turn-based games, I’m looking forward to checking out this game. After the Star Wars series, going medieval seems appropriate. I just hope Rovio would eventually make a pirate Angry Birds game with Red Beard and Captain Jack Sparrow.

The Angry Birds Epic will be available for iOS users in Canada, Australia and New Zealand this week. This will be a soft testing launch with less features, before the big public launch on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8, which still doesn’t have an official release date yet.

Check out the teaser video after the jump.
