New Year, New You

In a few more hours, we’ll be celebrating the close of 2012 and the arrival of 2013. Every year, January 1st is bustling with peppy joggers, friends chatting about upcoming plans (over a much-too-healthy lunch), and shoppers carefully eyeing their checkbooks while browsing the latest sales. It’s the one day a year we feel we get a fresh start, a go-ahead, an “I’m gonna do this better” – and to be honest, I’m feeling it too.

Tomorrow I’ll be scraping off the salt and asking for a side of vegetables as much as the next guy (or girl), but there are also deeper resolutions I’d like to keep. Spending more time with family, learning to be a better wife and seeking a closer relationship with God are high on my list; and through these goals I’m sure the other ones will fall right into place.

Some other resolutions in mind: growing out this dang hair (yup, stilllll going), digging into some good books and braving the chilly evenings for a nice walk or two.

What are some of your objectives for the New Year?

Have a happy and safe night!
