New Post on Ollibean – Pro Infirmis Mannequins Video Shows Bodily Diversity is Beautiful

By Emily @emily_ladau

I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to write for an amazing disability website called Ollibean. I’m such a huge fan that I want not only to share what I’ve written for them, but also to tell you about what a great resource the whole website is! First of all, the layout is gorgeous and incredibly inviting. Then, there’s a wealth of articles and blog posts by a range of people in the disability community, from self-advocates to parents to professionals. You can even make an account on Ollibean to access all kinds of wonderful features. I highly recommend going to visit the site and staying a while!

I’m also really proud to share my first original post for Ollibean. It’s all about the video created by Pro Infirmis, a German organization, in which mannequins are modeled after a group of disabled people. If you haven’t seen this video as it’s been making the rounds on social media, I hope you’ll take the time to watch it. More importantly, I hope you’ll pause to take in the deeply important messages of love and acceptance of body diversity in the video.

To view the video and read more about my perspective on the emotions I experienced in seeing mannequins reflecting true bodily diversity, click here:
