Known for its flower market, its beautiful tulips, wooden clogs, canals, and of course its… you know what… The natural next thing to be known for is the new weed flavored mayonnaise.
When Albert van Beek of Manneken Pis, a French fry chain in Amsterdam found out that pot flavored dips didn’t exist yet in Amterdam, he got to work. He’s since developed a pot-flavored mayo that he says has the “unmistakeable taste of weed.”
Van Beek told the AFP, “I had the idea because I smell the cannabis coming from the coffee shop opposite my chip shop in Amsterdam every day.” He adds that, “it is very different than smoking weed, but the hemp is good to smell and taste.” The weed mayo will not get you high because it doesn’t contain THC, the ingredient in cannabis responsible for getting one stoned.
