The upgrades to Apple MacBook Pro, the premium laptop line-up from Cupertino, are finally here. The company has added powerful configurations, a bigger screen, and possibly a fix for the keyboard issues existing in the current variants.
Apple MacBook Pro specifications
The display size is increased to 16 inch (from 15.4 inch in the previous generation). Latest Intel chipsets with six and eight cores are deployed. The graphics are upgraded too. Apple claims an 11-hour battery life for the new MacBook Pros.
There is also a 64 GB RAM variant this time, along with up to 8 TB storage capacity.
The number of speakers has been increased from two to six. The thermal cooling mechanism is redesigned to improve the air circulation.
Magic Keyboard
The keyboard on the latest portable computers has undergone a complete overhaul. Owing to their failure, the butterfly mechanism used in the predecessors is replaced with the standard scissor mechanism with 1 mm of travel.
The Esc key is now a physical button alongside the Touch Bar. The Touch ID button has also been separated from the Bar.
Apple MacBook Pro pricing and availability
The new 16-inch MacBook Pro is available for ordering. It starts at a price of $2,399. The Indian pricing begins at 1,99,900 INR for the standard configuration.
