Nature Spotting Inspires Wild Ideas

By Thinkibility

Today I received a book, and it is awesome!! Written by Asa Jomard, co-author of this blog, it is beautiful. It is a kind of book you do read and then put it on the table to impress guests, but also to read it again, because it inspires you to come up with really wild ideas.

Nature Spotting Inspires Wild Ideas

Join Theo and Tuva on their nature walks and be inspired by their observations using a biomimicry lens of the natural world. Imaginative play is important for creativity, and a walk in nature could inspire so many ideas.

Check out how fantastic the fox’s nose is, how dragonflies can stand still in the air, how the otter keeps warm, and how bats send out signals to form a mental map of their surroundings. Use the observations as inspiration for new ideas.

This beautifully illustrated children’s book lets you look at nature in a completely different way, and is therefore also interesting for adults to read to their children.

Books on nature are usually about the wonders and beauty of it but rarely standstill by how animal species have found in millions of centuries solutions for their survival.

Watching and enjoying nature get enriched by coming up with ideas about how nature’s ingenuity can be applied to everyday things. In this way, a walk in the woods or through the field becomes a playful game.

Ever known that diving goggles have long been invented by nature?
