NASA Video Shows the Shortest Lunar Eclipse of the Century in Real Time

If you missed the incredible lunar eclipse last weekend, here’s your chance to take a closer look at it again. NASA has released a video showing the lunar eclipse from April 4, 2015, which also said to be the shortest lunar eclipse of the century, in real time.

“A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned (in “syzygy”) exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon,” via Wikipedia.
