NASA Releases Stunning HD Image of “Pillars of Creation”

You couldn’t help but wonder about the wonder of the universe when seeing amazing things like this. NASA shows us the beauty of the universe, yet again, with the latest high definition image of the iconic part of the Eagle Nebula (M16) called “Pillars of Creation,” which as you can see is hundred times more beautiful than the image taken in 1995.

The Hubble telescope has taken this second visit to look at the stunning three massive columns formed by cold gas, in celebration of its upcoming 25th anniversary in April.

“The pillars have been photographed in near-infrared light, as well as visible light. The infrared view transforms the pillars into eerie, wispy silhouettes seen against a background of myriad stars. That’s because the infrared light penetrates much of the gas and dust, except for the densest regions of the pillars. Newborn stars can be seen hidden away inside the pillars,” NASA wrote on its website.
