NaNoWriMo and Coffin Hop

By Eriktiger @eriktiger

Trying to watch Saturday Night Live, can’t get into it this evening. Its not funny this week at all. That makes me sad when they have a dud. I have been a fan my entire life and really look forward to Saturday nights. Oh well.

I also should have raked my yard today but I didn’t. Looks like we had a leaf blizzard out there. I will be tackling that tomorrow.

Today I started working on a new short story. I am calling it The White Van. Not sure if that title will stick but I pounded out 1700 words this evening and I am really getting into it. It opens with a van parked out in front of a house, it ends with a homicidal nut case who thinks he is a shark.

There are two big things on the horizon. I wanted to check in to see who is taking part in two huge events!

NaNoWriMo and Coffin Hop

The first is Coffin Hop. Coffin Hop is an epic blog hop dedicating to promoting horror writers. It takes place October 24th – 31th. There are scads of writers participating in this event! Their tag line and purpose is simple: “Get to know other horror writers, gain exposure, win stuff.” Anybody else going to join? I need to come up with an epic blog and giveaway for that week.

NaNoWriMo and Coffin Hop

NaNoWriMo starts in a couple of weeks! For those who don’t know NaNoWriMo stands for National November Writing Month. The goal is to write 50,000 words during the month of November. I wrote Fall Leaves and the Black Dragon during the competition last year. Its hard but its a blast. No editing just writing. Every chance you get. I have joined a secret group of writers this month are we are all working on our outline and characters to get psyched up for the epic writing in November. Who’s in?

So anyone want to rake my yard tomorrow?
