I started out with a poor attempt at an insanely simple - well, apparently it's not that simple - attempt at nail art. I used two shades from Flower Beauty. The base is called "What's the Daffodilly-O?" and I used a toothpick to add polka dots that just make my nails look like they have chicken pox or something. The dotting shade is called "Gorgeous Gerbera." I really love these colors, but my dotting technique needs some help! :) I actually just bought a really cheap dotting tool, so maybe I'll give that a try soon.
The only other color this week is from Gabriel and it is called "Hibiscus." It looks exactly like the color of a hibiscus flower, so it's well named!!! I've never used a Gabriel polish before and I will say that it chipped a little tiny bit at the tips pretty quickly. I suspect this was due more to the base coat and the lack of a top coat than it was the nail polish, but this "manicure" did chip more than usual. The color is gorgeous though! :) The formula is pretty shiny all on its own too, which is why I skipped the top coat!
