This was a speedy morning; we had a power failure last night when we went to bed. I figured we would be fine since I have battery back-up in my alarm clock but I guess the battery decided to die at this very time. So it was rush rush rush to get myself dressed, Emerson together, her bag ready (she spends Wednesdays with my mom), and all three of us out the door. Got a couple pics taken and was only four minutes late for work (not a big deal today as that I usually stay late on Wednesdays).
My Wardrobe Today - WednesdayMy husband was quite the shutterbug this morning, even capturing me getting Emerson into her car seat. I like this picture because it shows that even though Emerson is two and a half and tall for her age, we sill have her car seat rear-facing. She's perfectly comfortable (she usually sits with her legs crossed), and we know that she is safer than if she was front-facing. This video explains the benefit of keeping your child rear-facing for as long as possible.  When we moved up from an infant car seat to a convertible, we specifically chose one that had a high weight/height limit for rear-racing so that it would work for her as long as possible.  I don't like to preach on here, but if you have a little one, please consider keeping them rear-facing in the car for as long as it is safe with your car seat.
