This is one of my favorite outfits at the moment, it’s chic and simple but it has a certain presence. Plus it’s perfect for mild spring summer evenings. Maxi skirts are great for adding femininity to an outfit. Sometimes they are a little difficult to style because they often look a little frumpy, that’s why I like the slit in this one. It’s a like a sexy little “hey there I have legs underneath this!” My advice when styling your summer maxi skirt outfit is to really be careful about where the skirt sits on the waist. A long skirt will look way more frumpy if it’s not fitted at the top and hanging off the hips. You risk looking like a belly dancer. It just looks way better high-waisted and well fitted. Wearing sandals (not necessarily heels), is another little piece of advice I have, a little hint of toes/skin when you’re walking shows that you actually have feet under all that fabric!
