Happy new year all your gorgeous people! We at Beauty and Beyond wish each one of our readers a very happy and prosperous new year 2017. And with the warm, heartfelt wishes we thought of welcoming the new year with a brand new makeup look book using some of our favorite and multi use Touch In Sol and Makeup Revolution products. Let us dig in straight to the makeup look without further ado.

Since about a week, my skin has been giving me a lot of trouble. It is breaking out at some places and it is really patchy, flaky, dry and discoloured near my mouth and chin area. So base makeup goes right out of the window any which ways! But having to attend a party, a little bit of glam on my face was a must for which I decided to give my Touch In Sol Light Bright Brow Spot Highlighter in matte pink, Touch In Sol Style Neon eyeliner in Pink Aurora, and my favorite Makeup Revolution Day to Night redemption palette some good use. It is a myth that a good heavy eye makeup does not look good without a full face of base makeup; I did my makeup atop just a layer of heavy moisturiser and dusted it off with some loose powder for controlling the shine, and the results are here for you to see.

I primarily focused on highlighting the areas of my face where light would fall naturally, and for this purpose I used my Touch In Sol Bright brow highlighter which is a pink toned concealer with no evident shimmer but a bright iridescence. I used it to highlight my brow bone, and also applied the tiniest bit of product with a wet sponge under my eyes, on the bridge and tip of my nose, my cupids bow and on the highest points of my cheeks. Also, the best part of the product is that it does not make my pores look enlarged. And to lock all of that concealer in, I used the shade number three (from left) in my Makeup Revolution palette to set my brow bone, nose and cheek highlight.

For my eyes, I started off with prepping my eyes with the same concealer, set it with a powder and began with the colours galore. As I was to go for a nude lippie (you’ll love what I used), I decided to go real heavy on my eyes. As I wanted to use minimal products for this look, I did not dig into any other palette than the one which I had settled on. And because my palette does not have matte shade, I decided to let go of warming up the crease with a matte brown, and directly dug into the purple shade from the palette and painted my entire lid with the color making sure to stay beneath the crease. Then using a fluffy blended brush, I softened it all out. Then I went ahead and added the shimmery black shade from the same palette and deepened the outer V of the eye to give it more dimension. Now I smoked out my lower lash line with the same purple and black shadow using a pencil brush. But still I did not feel my eye makeup, so to add a fun pop of colour, I took the shade number 4 from the same palette which is a shimmery pink toned shadow and added it to the center of my lids.

To wrap up my eye look and make everything pulled in together, I added shade number one (shimmery white) and shade number three (glowy peach-beige) to the inner corners of my eye. So now that I did a really heavy eye look, I popped the Touch in Sol Style Neon eyeliner in Pink Aurora which is matte pink eyeliner, in my waterline to make my eye look bigger. However, it was very dry and it tugged a lot on my eye, so I could not get a lot of pigment out of it on the waterline. Anyway, it looked pretty and the final look was adorable.

So now that the highlighting and eye makeup was done, it was time to give my lips some pampering. And I decide to get my Touch in Sol pink eyeliner to a multipurpose test and used it as an all over lip liner. Remember, that I always exfoliate and moisturise my lips before I do my makeup, but even after that the pink pencil was very drying and tugged at my lips real bad. It is drying but sturdy, it did not break apart in all the pulling and tugging and though the lips felt stretchy after application, the color looks really pretty on Indian skin tones. To make my lips look fuller, I added the shade four from the palette on my cupids bow and the center of my lower lips to make them look lusciously full.
