Muthoni from Murang’a county Painfully narrated how her husband Slaughtered their two sons with a knife on their bed and later disappeared only to be arrested when they were burying them.
She was born and brought up in Murang’a by her single mother. When she was in form two, she got into a relationship with a guy who was an untrained teacher in the nearby school.
When she was in form four, she got pregnant which made her drop out of school. After delivering her baby, her siblings and her mother didn’t support her and would ask her to get support from the man who impregnated her.
She asked the man responsible to go and pick her up when the baby was only 8 days old. Unfortunately, after arriving at her new home, the baby fell sick and died a few hours later. Six months later, she Conceived and her husband had now planned to go to college.
Whenever he could go back home for holidays, he could drink alcohol and would physically abuse her. She added that the man was so insecure that he couldn’t allow his brother to talk to her.
According to Muthoni, she thought that her husband would change and maybe he was doing that because he had stopped earning since he was a student. The man didn’t change because he would beat her up while pregnant and even threaten to kill her.
She would return home but days later the man would go to pick her up crying while begging for forgiveness One day her husband threatened her with a knife but she luckily escaped through a window.
She vowed to never return, she left her kids under the care of her mother and went to work as a house help. The husband reported her child’s negligence and was granted child custody.
One day he called her and told them that she would never see her children again. She called the mother-in-law to take the kids but it was too late. The man had slaughtered the two boys with a knife on the bed and had disappeared.
