My First Post!!

Hey Guys!
I'm super excited to be making my first post...so excited, in fact, that I haven't even tweaked all the settings yet.  But alas, I want to just go over what this blog will entail and what I (and hopefully you) will be getting out of it.
First off this is my life, my musings, my little corner of the interwebz.  I realize that sounds extremely selfish but these days, how much can we really call our own?  With a mortgage on the house, a monthly car payment, a 9 to 5 to pay the bills, etc etc...it's comforting to know that this blog will be here for me when I need it and running on MY schedule.
Secondly, as much as I hate labels, if we must....let's just call this a "lifestyle blog".  Yes I realize that's extremely vague, and yes I realize that there are others out there BUT, just as a seedling breaks the soil, I'm ready to reach for the sun and see where this takes me.
And on that note, I'll end the first post here so I can dot my Ts and cross my Is with the rest of the settings on this thing!
