My 1st New Years Resolution!

By Ourbabyblog @OurBabyBlogx
My 1st New Years Resolution!I'm not usually one to make resolutions , purely based on the fact that ill never keep them! But this time round I'm more determined than ever, when I put my mind to something ill always stick to it, it's a pride thing more than anything! There are the usual resolutions like "lose weight" and "stop smoking" etc, which are achievable but are completely focused on you, so this year I've made the resolution to do something which is going to benefit not only me but Abbie too, & that is to sort out her nursery! At the moment it looks like a tornado has ripped through it causing complete devestation! I'm not even joking...  Our plan is to get her used to sleeping in her toddler bed in our room then moving her into her own space! We've co-slept for the past 15 months but she's not needing me like she used to, as much as that kinda makes me sad, I look forward to having a solid mights sleep without little miss fidget bum waking me up all the time by kicking me in the stomach...
I had so much fun when I was younger, decorating my own room! It was my parents way of saying, you're growing up, you can have control of this and make it your own! I went through lots of different phases, forever friends at first, followed by a farmyard theme, which then turned into cow print! Your mind changes all the time when you're young, so many creative ideas running riot wears you out! When I was 10 I was allowed to choose which bed I wanted, I'd put on my Christmas list that I really wanted a bed with a ladder, my first grown up bed I guess! Originally I wanted the one with the slide but that seemed a no go with my overly protective parents ha!
If you're looking at re-doing your little ones room and making it more grown up, you can find some great inspiration in the Feather and Black children's bed range, whether you're looking for cots, a toddler bed or even bunk beds, youll find something you love! I cannot wait for when Abbie is old enough to have her first big girl bed, I'll be so excited to help her choose and obviously i'll ler her get the one with the slide instead of the ladder and will probably have to have the first go to make sure it's safe ;). Then  it's time to get the bedding, with matching curtains, matching alarm clock, rug, stickers, night light...I'm hoping she'll go through the princess phase so everything will be pink and pretty with cute fairy lights and mosquito net!
Look out for my house tour post coming up as soon as Abbie's room is finished, complete with a run down of where we got our furniture and accessories from, plus a special YouTube video to show you around too!x
