Motorola’s unique take on Modular smartphones, Moto Z along with Moto Z play and Moto Mods have been launched in India. Apart from carrying unique semi-modular approach, Moto Z is also one of world’s thinnest smartphone at just 5.2 mm.
Each snappable mod comes with a unique set of features that help to enhance the performance of the performance of the device. For e.g JBL SoundBoost Speaker can be used to enhance the audio experience or Hasselblad True Zoom Camera Mod converts the Moto Z smartphone into a full fledged point and shoot camera with optical zoom. There is an Instashare Projector in case you want to project a movie during a picnic or a give a presentation during a meeting. Another interesting Mod is Incipio offGRID Power Pack mod that adds more juice to the device.
MOTO Z SPECIFICATIONS
The Moto Z features a 14 cm (5.5”) Quad HD AMOLED display, Qualcomm® Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM along with 64 GB internal storage option, that can be further extended up to 2 TB via a micro SD card. The Smartphone comes with a high-resolution 13MP, f1.8 camera with optical image stabilization and laser autofocus, a 5MP camera with an extra front flash and a wide angle lens and a fingerprint sensor located at the front chin of the device.
The phone comes with a 2600 mAh in-built battery and has “TurboPower” feature that charges enough to last for 7 hours in just 15 minutes of charging. The phone also with a water-repellant coating and keeps the phone protected from rain, splashes or spills.

MOTO Z PLAY SPECIFICATIONS
The Moto Z Play comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor coupled with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB internal storage, further expansion is supported up to 2TB via amicroSD card, a 5.inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display. The rear camera on the phone is a 16MP camera with laser autofocus while the front camera is a 5 MP shooter with wide-Angle 85° lens and LED flash.
Motorola claims that the Moto Z Play delivers a long battery life of up to 45 hours of battery life with its 3500 mAh battery. The phone also supports TurboPower charging allowing you to get up to 8 hours of use in just a 15 minutes charge.
Both Moto Z and Moto Z Play are 4G VoLTE smartphones, comes with NFC connectivity and have USB Type-C port. Motorola has removed the 3.5 mm audio jack from the Moto Z phones.
