Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze

By Courtyb34 @CourtyB34
I have been planning on doing these brownies for a long time. I did do an M&M brownie during the summer, but they didn't turn out the way I wanted them. These turned out delicious, even my mom and sister agree. These brownies do not come out nicely, they are gooey, and fudgy. The M&Ms make a nice touch. The glaze tops it off. I got this from All Recipes.com, these are delicious brownies. I got the glaze recipe from food.com  . Lesson learned from these brownies, don't worry so much because everything always works out. Don't sweat the small stuff.
Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze
What you will need for the Brownies
~1 cup of butter (2 sticks) (Melted)
~2 & 1/2 cups of white sugar
~1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
~1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I always put a little more)
~4 eggs
~1 & 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
~1/2 teaspoon baking powder
~1/2 teaspoon salt
~M&Ms/Nuts to sprinkle on top (optional)

What you will need for the Glaze (I changed it up a bit)

~3 tablespoons of butter
~2 cups of powdered sugar
~1/2 cup of milk (Not a whole half cup, fill a third of the 1/2 cup)
~2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
~1 tablespoon of white sugar
~3 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Start with melting your butter for the brownies and get out a medium sized mixing bowl.  Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Add in all the ingredients of the brownies under butter, except the M&Ms, unless you want the M&Ms inside the brownies.  Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Mix up the ingredients with a fork, you want to get all the clumps out. The butter and white sugar probably have formed little clumps. You also want the fork to break the egg yolks.  Stir it until all the ingredients are mixed in and it is smooth. In a small sauce pan, melt the butter for the frosting.  Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Now, add in the cocoa powder, stir in with the butter, and remove from heat. Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Next, do the powdered sugar. Don't do all of it yet, do the first cup & 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Next, pour in the milk. Remember, not a whole 1/2 cup. Fill a third of the cup.  Stir it in, and then add in the vanilla extract. I always add in more, and you can definitely do that to help sweeten it a little more. Stir it all together, and it does turn out soupy. Add the remaining powdered sugar and stir. Mix it all up until smooth, and you will need a whisk to do that. Put it in the fridge for 15 minutes, every five minutes, stir it in the fridge for a couple seconds. Take it out of the fridge and let sit. You want it to thicken up just a little bit.  Once the brownies are done, set them aside to cool.  If they come out a little jiggly, don't worry, that will go away. It still bakes itself once it is out of the oven. Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze I poked a fork in the center, all the way down to the pan. When I spread the glaze on the brownies, the glaze seeps through the holes I poked and makes it extra chocolaty.  Once it is cool enough, spoon the glaze on. Don't pour it all on the brownies, just spoon it. You want to cover the whole thing, and the middle might sink down, and the glaze just seeps there, but that's okay. You can spoon the glaze out and cover the edges. You don't want to use all the glaze, so put it in a container and save for later. You can use this glaze as chocolate gravy, or as a chocolate sauce for ice cream, or however you'd like to use the chocolate sauce. Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Once the glaze is on the brownies, let it sit for 5 minutes. You want the glaze to kind of harden. Once it has hardened a little bit, sprinkle the M&Ms or nuts on top of the brownies. You want the M&Ms in even amounts. They will go to the middle since the middle sunk, the middle doesn't sink down too much, but you want the M&Ms spread out nicely.  Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Most Delicious Chocolate Brownies W/ Glaze Hope you enjoy the brownies as much as we did. They are so good, and so rich. They are quite delicious.
