Monday Survival Kit

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Mondays. Ugh! Just the mention of it is enough to make me cringe. After a great weekend of staying up way too late, eating rubbish and laughing too much (is there such a thing?) I have found a few items that I always use on a Monday (shudder) to see me through the day.
Monday Survival Kit
For starters, if you work in an office or are allowed them in school/college/uni/prison (jokes), then headphones will be an essential. Normally the sound of people talking in the background probably won't bother you, but on Mondays, everything sounds louder and more annoying. Take your headphones with you and listen to your favorite music throughout the day - maybe make a playlist of the music that remind you of some of your happiest memories. The day will go a lot quicker (not to mention drown out your colleagues louder than life laugh)
I always used to set my watch 20 minutes early on a Monday when I was at school (a lifetime ago!) so when it said it was 3pm, it was actually 3:20pm and I was getting ready to go home sooner that I thought.
Paint your nails a pretty color. I don't know about you, but chipped nails makes me feel a bit 'unclean' and puts me in a bad mood whenever I see them (It could just be me...) so I like to paint my nails on a Sunday night knowing my nails will look and feel their best on Monday.
If you're a talker like me, then your lips have seen a bit of damage over the weekend so give them a bit of TLC with a good lip balm like the Maybelline Baby Lips.
Finally, if your skin has seen better days, hide your dark circles with a medium/full coverage foundation.
It's the simple things like nice makeup that make me feel better on a Monday! Can you think of anything that I should add to my Monday Survival Kit? (aside from a hipflask)
