Monday 'Mum'Day Baby Bottle Cleaning

By Alex_bumptobaby @bumptobaby_blog

Hi and Welcome to my first ever Monday 'Mum'Day blog post! I hope everyone is okay and had a lovely weekend!
Today I'm sharing 2 products that I have absolutely fallen in love with using from OXO's OXO Tot range. I use these products every single day to aid in the cleaning of Ethan's baby bottles! If you're not familiar with OXO I urge you to go and have a look at their website especially if you are a lover of all things modern like I am myself. OXO say that they sell 'innovative products that make everyday life easier' and I've been lucky enough to be able to test this statement out..

OXO Tot Bottle Drying Rack

Let me introduce my personal favorite out of the 2 items I'm blogging about today - The bottle drying rack!
After I've washed Ethan's bottles up in warm soapy water, I use this. I used to use the washing up drainer that we use for our everyday plates etc but I soon found this to be such a nuisance. I have so many bottles for Ethan, I often have 6 bottles on the steriliser and around 10 either needing washing up  or already washed up. I found that before I had this bottle drying rack I would leave his bottles drying on our normal drainer. This presented me with the problem of the bottles taking up too much space when really I needed that space for our own plates etc to dry. I also didn't like the fact that his bottles were drying with our washing up.

The drying rack from OXO Tot has been fab to solve all of the above! I have it placed on the side right next to our washing up drainer.
The sticky up parts keep Ethan's bottles elevated and it holds at the very least 8 of his bottles and all of their corresponding parts.
The raised ribs on the bottom of the tray mean that the clean bottles aren't sitting in a pool of their own water, so they they stay dry and clean.
And then there's the removable cup which is excellent for his dummies etc.
And another thing I love about this is that the corners of the tray are shaped in such a way that makes tipping out excess water so easy, it also means that there's not water all over my side as the water stays inside until I'm ready to tip it out!

The bottle drying rack is seriously one of my favorite ever products -  it has made my life SO much easier! If you're a new Mum or Dad and you are looking for something like this to help with cleaning baby bottles I cannot recommend this highly enough. Oh and If you like the look of it there's a short video about it available here.

The OXO Tot drying rack is priced at just £15.32, which personally I think is just so remarkably cheap when I take into consideration how helpful it's been in my everyday life. If you'd like to get yourself or someone else one it can purchased HERE.

OXO Tot Bottle Brush

I think that the OXO Tot Bottle Brush goes hand in hand with the bottle drying rack and just as the drying rack is, the bottle brush is fab!
I'd like to say actually that I'm just so impressed with OXO Tot - the look of their products get's 10/10 from me, the quality gets 10/10 and the easiness of use again gets a big fat 10/10!

In regards to their bottle brush, the brush head has two types of bristles which I feel gives a better overall clean.
It has a flexible neck for a much easy reach inside bottles, I find that this is the most useful  aspect of the brush, I had a bottle brush before from a well known brand that stated that it had a flexible neck but it was nothing compared to this, I actually feel like this gets everywhere I need it to!
The silicone teat cleaner is great for getting into tight spaces I've found it to be ideal to clean Ethan's bottle teats thoroughly. I think that the teat cleaner on this brush would also work very well for items such as sippy cups and breast pump parts.
It's easy to grip and it even comes with a storage stand, so when I'm finished with it I just place it in the stand which I have next to the sink where it is upright meaning that it stays clean and dries quickly. Any excess water from the brush drips into the stand and as you can see in the pictures I've posted the stand cup even comes apart for easy emptying and easy cleaning.

The OXO Tot Bottle Brush is priced at only £6.13 - again I believe that this is such a good price for what is a fantastic product. It strongly appears that OXO price their products with their customers in mind and don't do what is far too common these days by some other brands - overprice.
If you're interested in the bottle brush it is available for purchase HERE.
I really do love these products so much, so much so that OXO has now become one of my favorite ever brands. I actually have my eye on their Spout Chair for when Ethan's a bit older - I literally would love to own one!
I hope you've enjoyed reading about OXO Tot if you like the look of their products and you would like to know more about them then you can visit OXO's website, visit them on Facebook or send them a tweet them over on Twitter.
