It would be an understatement if I said that 'I loved my job'. It is a challenge juggling between my part time job and the blog and the home, but at the end of the day, I don't mind the juggle- coz I love them all! Life as a property manager is such a contrast from my blogging world, but each one has it's own perks. One such perk that comes as a part of my blogging job is the 'opportunity to preview a brand's upcoming collection before the whole-wide-world.....' - woot woot !!
Last week I had the chance to preview Hush Puppies' Spring/Summer 2017 line up and I have to admit that it was one heck of a party. It was an intimate sit and dine, four-course dinner setting for thirty or so bloggers at a local DC Italian hangout called Masseria. There was yummy food, unlimited booze, fashionable bloggers and a shoe galore to say the least.
All the bloggers were given a pair of shoe of their choice ahead of the event, which they were expected to wear to the event. It was amazing to see how bloggers gave varied personalities to the same pair of heels. I went with these mules, which honestly impressed me in the comfort department. I've had a few pair of mules in my closet, but these are by-far the most comfortable and easiest to walk in.
The decor and the tablescape were spectacular. Besides the shoes, the flowers c/o a local florist were definitely another highlight of the evening. Put together with utmost care, each floral arrangement was befitting the scheme.

Starting from the first course: I had Insalata ( salad ), then mushroom risotto, followed by artichoke lima beans entree and finished off with some chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was soul satisfying and remarkably good. If you ever happen to be in the neighborhood of Union Market, this would be the place to be. It was a memorable evening indeed, and I just can't get over the all precision paid towards details. Congratulations to the entire team of hush puppies for putting together such an awesome show.
