The Mondaine Helvetica is a Swiss made watch that was inspired by the Helvetica font. Mondaine finds similarities between them and the Helvetica font. They are both Swiss made, they follow a simple idea of form and function in perfect harmony, ingenuity and simplicity to distinguish an attractive piece of design from a truly iconic design. This inspiration led to three different dial faces. A light that has only the number 12 and 6 with only markers for the rest. A regular with all the numbers and a date indicator. The last one is bold with the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 only printed in bold and it also has a date indicator. The Helvetica number 1 with its famous curved crossbar has been used as a model for the lugs.
