MIDWEEK_PICK_ME_UP
There is nothing I can't bare than that day in the middle of the week: Wednesday. Like Anna Nalick said, " Life is like a cave, your just as far in as you'll ever be out." Of course, if I had a magic then it would be Friday already, but to make my Wednesday more passable I enjoy having a weekly pick-me up.
I learned about the Midweek Pick Me Up from my sister, which now gives me a reason to gift myself in the middle of the week :D However, I thought I would share some ideas and activities to make your journey to the weekend a lot more tolerable.
Do Something ProductiveIn order for me to relax or calm down, I need to get something done! Whether it be my homework, my chores, my taxes...lol, I do not even have taxes. It helps a lot because it gives you the very satisfying feeling of I worked hard and now I can unwind
Take a NapHonestly, you might as well sleep your way to Friday. However, some people are not that lucky to divulge in such luxuries, but napping is a great way charge-up to give your 110% into the remaining days of the week to really enjoy your weekend.
Make Yourself a Fancy MealI know a lot of people tend to eat fast food or grab that instant ramen, but taking time to make a quality and filling meal will not only help you relax, but also makes you excited. I always enjoy meals by the Barefoot Contessa, Alton Brown, and Giada De Laurentiis.
Wear a Face MaskIf there is something I am willing to treat on a regular basis, it is my skin. I have been using the My Beauty Diary sheet masks for more than a year and all I can say is that there are amazing when my dry skin needs a re-boost. I need to do a full review soon!
Make Some TeaSometimes I am too caught up with my coffee and chai to really sit down to nice cup of tea. I really enjoy the clean feeling of tea because I don't have to deal with the heavy milk and sugars associated with chai and coffee. I really enjoy chamomile, raspberry, and lemon. If you are an avid tea drinker try Indian chai, you will not be disappointed!
Be NostalgicOne thing that makes my Wednesdays a little bit more pleasant is looking back. When I look though my old photos, read my old posts, or watch my old shows: it makes me a little bit excited for tomorrow. Another day I will look back on with new memories to remember. I don't know why, but it gives me a sense of living in the moment.
I hope you enjoy this post and let me know what you do in the middle of the week to revitalize. Tell me in the comments bellow! Happy Tuesday ^_^
