Recent reports coming out about Microsoft Lumia are not really great. Latest updates suggest that Microsoft is no longer offering replacement devices for those who bring in defective units which are still under warranty. This is because the company has already cleared out inventories for the majority of stores in UK already. Reports suggest that the company might discontinue its “Lumia” brand by the end of this year.

Microsoft has been really struggling in the smartphone race and the effect could be seen when the Tech Giant gave slashed the prices of Lumia 650 and Lumia 950 last month. If we go by the reports, Microsoft wants to continue selling the existing Lumia devices Lumia 550, Lumia 650, Lumia 950, and Lumia 950 XL till the stock lasts.

If we are to believe the rumors, a new device called Surface Phone may be unveiled and is expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 Processor and may come with mammoth 8GB RAM. Although, Microsoft has never confirmed the existence of the Surface Phone. So nobody can yet say if this new model will ever see daylight or not.

Microsoft, however, has confirmed that Windows 10 Mobile OS will continue to exist. It will support partners who want to build devices running it, unfortunately, there are only a handful of partners that are making Windows 10 devices.
