What does the brand have to say about this product:The Colossal Kohl with its three new variants, Crushed Emerald, Jewelled Jade and Smoked Silver, has a lot to offer too!• Lines like a kajal & defines like a liner• Smudge- free and refreshing twist• 12 hour staying power• Smooth gliding tip for even application
The packaging is yellow very reminiscent of the Colossal family of eye liners. It is a twist up pencil so no fuss of sharpening. It can fit into the smallest of clutches and is travel friendly
Maybelline The Colossal Kohl in Crushed Emerald on my eyes
These eye liners are an extension of the Maybelline Colossal Kohl in Black which is the no.1 selling kajal in India. Normally I would be happy with using my black kajal and eye liner but a pop of color would be nice for a fun look and some variety to the daily boring kajal black routine. The one I received was crushed emerald which is actually the one I wanted. The pigmentation is a bit disappointing but 2 to 3 swipes are good enough to get the desired color on the eye lids.It is a bit metallic in nature. The color can safely be used on the waterline which is a plus point. The eye liner stays put for 4 to 5 hours easily unless you have extremely oily lids for which a dusting of powder would be appropriate. I do not like stark eye liner and this seems to fit in. However I wish the pigmentation could have been better. Apart from that I think its a nice eyeliner to try for a pop of color on the eyes. The Good:Easily availableInexpensiveBeautiful metallic green colorDoes not budge once it sets.Decent pigmentationLasts for 4 to 5 hoursTwist up version saves product wastageSafe to use on the waterlineTravel friendly packagingThe not so Good:Pigmentation could have been betterRating: 4.5/5Maybelline The Colossal Kohl in Crushed Emerald is a shade of Kohl I recommend as it is decently pigmented and also will suit most skin tones. Since it is safe on the waterline would double up as a kajal too. Do give it a try you will love it....I hope this review was useful and informative to all those reading. P.S: The product was sent by the brand for consideration but this does not affect my honest opinion.
