Maybelline Colorshow Lipsticks in Fuchsia Flare and Crushed Candy-Review,Swatches,LOTD

By Get Set Blush @GetSet_Blush
Maybelline recently launched their Colorshow Glitter Mania Nail Paints. They were such a big hit. I own them too. you can check the review and swatches of the Glitter Mania nail paints here Anyway I was not really sure about the Colorshow Lipsticks Launch. I mean, there was no publicity from the brand and the lipsticks are still not available in all the stores. I only got to know when I accidentally checked the Maybelline counter few days back in a near by Health N Glow Store. I am surprised to find that, HnG stores are the only one to have these Lipsticks. I guess, by August end..Every maybelline counter is expected to stock these lipsticks throughout India. Can I call myself Lucky O:) As I got a chance to own them before many of you girls :) :D

About the Colorshow Lipsticks: I would have to given you so much information related to these, but surprisingly I found nothing on their official website. Wait for the right time, they may launch these anytime soon.

Packaging: The Colorshow Lipsticks come in a black plastic bullet with a shiny strip which shows the colorfamily it belongs to. I mean, the Maybelline guys launched 20 of them. Each belonging to a color family..ie reds, plums, pinks, corals etc etc

The lipsticks I bought are Fuchsia Flare and Crushed Candy. I guess this is my first ever fuchsia lipstick.
Fuchsia Flare is shiny, moisturizing but not so creamy. Just good enough to wear daily. The tip was damaged even before I opened it.*my heart broke too* This is very much pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover up my pigmented lips. Stays on forever. Leaves a tint behind. It does survive heavy south Indian meals.I mean, the shine goes off but the tint will be there still. I am dusky and never dared to wear a fuchsia lip before. But once I wore this and Fuchsia Flare has become my everyday go-to lipstick.

Crushed Candy:

Well, this one is a surprise to me. I never owned a lipstick that has a sheen to it. May be, I didn't know about this feature before. Whatever it is, this is a bubblegum pink lipstick that is more on the sheer side. Not much pigmented but with 2 swipes you can get the desired shade. This can be MLBB lipstick for girls with pink lips. Glossy finish just looks great on thin lips. Due to its, sheer texture it doesn't last long. It goes off soon in 2-3hours even if you don't eat anything.

Pros:
1. Amazing pigmentation.
2. Stays on for long time*the not so sheer ones*
3. Glides on smoothly.
4. Doesn't sit in fine lines.
5. Cute color coded packaging.
6. Affordable.
Cons:
1. Nothing really but the brand can come out with new shades. Colorshow range has all the normal not so special colors.
Final Words / Recommendations:
I totally loved my choice of lipsticks. Infact, Fuchsia Flare the more. It instantly brightens up my dusky skintone. Crushed candy makes it easy to pull off pink lips.
If you are never into pink lipsticks, but always wanted to try.. without a second thought get the Maybelline Colorshow Lipsticks in Fuchsia Flare and Crushed Candy.
