May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box Review

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
I’m going to get straight down to business with this months Amarya Beauty Box review because this month's box was fantastic! It’s definitely been my favorite so far.
So here what I got...

May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewFull Size All-Round Cream by Lavera RRP £6.95
This is a great, no frills, does-exactly-what-it-says-on-the-tin body moisturiser from Lavera. It’s perfect for super sensitive skin like mine and I love that all the ingredients are there for a true purpose. There’s no junk to make it smell nice or to make it a pretty color. It’s simply full of skin nourishing goodness.

May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewThe consistency is nice and thick and creamy, yet it absorbs into skin well. It smells faintly of almond and shea butter. This is a great beauty essential which will sit quietly on your bathroom shelf while your fancier, more colourful beauty products vie for your attention. I liken it to Vaseline or Palmers Cocoa Butter - a reliable staple.
Full Size Lip Gloss by Terre d’Oc RRP £14.95
Where has this been all my life???? I recently purchased the Anti-Pollution Foundation from Terre d’Oc and thought it was fantastic and this lipgloss is just as good. Terre d’Oc is fast becoming my go-to make-up brand.

May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewThe color I received was 301 Nacre Surat which is transparent. When I saw this I have to admit that I was disappointed to receive a boring transparent gloss, that is, until I tried it on! Wow, hello gorgeous, big, juicy lips!!
May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewI have quite pigmented lips anyway and this gloss really brought out and enhanced my natural lip color beautifully. It is so shiny and the tiny, micronized mother-of-pearl particles add a pretty shimmer. This gloss looks great on it’s own but could also be used over your favorite lipstick to make it super shiny.
Most importantly this gloss felt good on my lips. It didn’t dry them out or make them feel uncomfortable like most lip glosses do. It left my lips feeling nourished and soft.
I can guarantee I will be buying this lip gloss again and no doubt, many other products from Terre d’Oc.

Trial Size Tous H2O Perfume (Full size RRP £26 for 30ml)
Tous H2O is a charity perfume created for Oxfam and with each purchase of Tous H2O a percentage of the sale price goes towards providing safe drinking water for the developing world.

May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewTous describe how this fragrance smells better than I could:
“...an aquatic blend with top notes of organic lemon and lavender which leads to a heart enriched with rose and jasmine, the base adds cedar, white amber and Australian sandalwood.”
It’s a light, fresh fragrance for everyday wear and it will smell great on a summer holiday! I’m pretty loyal to my L’eau  de Miss Cheri Dior but I would consider buying a 30ml sized Tous H2O.

Trial Size Night Treatment Face Oil by AD Skin Synergy (Full size RRP £38.00)
The size of this trial bottle is perfect for giving you a good sense of whether you would like to buy the full sized product. There’s enough product in the bottle for you to use it every night for a week or more.

May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewMy skin has been very dry recently as I’m using an acne cream which dries out my skin and makes it a bit flaky, yuck! I used the AD Skin Synergy Night Oil on my face last night and woke up this morning with soft, smooth, flake free skin!
May 2012 Amarya Beauty Box ReviewIt absorbs easily into skin and has a pleasant, light smell of roses to it. I would be comfortable recommending this product to a friend, however my favorite night oil from Amarya (so far) has been from REN skincare so I won’t be purchasing a full sized version of this oil just yet.
