Maxfactor Smokey Eye Effect Eye Shadow

Maxfactor Smokey Eye Effect Eye Shadow in  Purple Haze

I bought the Maxfactor Smokey Eye Effect Eye Shadow a while ago thinking that it looked like a super handy product but I never got around to trying it until recently and I have to say I love it. It is the ultimate time saving product that allows you to create a smokey eye in literally less than 5 minutes.
The eye shadow is very easy to apply and a professional finish is guaranteed. Like a lot of shadows there is some creasing but this is easily touched up. I opted for Purple Haze as I felt it would complement my blue eyes. This shade allows you to create a subtle smokey eye perfect for the day time.

Here is how to create a smokey eye in 5 minutes flat:

v   Line your eyes using a brown pencil. I used the Boots No 7 pencil in Brown to line the upper and lower lids.
v   Using Step 1 of the Maxfactor Smokey Eye Effect Eye Shadow follow the line made with the pencil making it thicker and more dramatic. Then cover the rest of the eyelid with Step 1.
v  Use Step 2 to highlight the inside corner of the eye. Apply a falsh lash effect mascara. I used Bourjois Volumizer Mascara but Maxfactor False Effect Mascara also creates dramatic lashes.
v   Line the inside of the eye with the Boots No 7 pencil.
If you want a more dramatic effect for evening try Onyx Smoke and for a bright look use Blue Tempest.
Maxfactor Smokey Eye Effect Eye Shadow is around £7.99 and is a must have for makeup lovers who like quick, easy and great results.
