I hope everyone has been staying cool because tomorrow is going to be a scorching 41 degrees in Melbourne!! Drink plenty of fluids and use sunscreen if you are heading out!
I have been using Make Up For Ever’s HD powder for the last two weeks. I’m a big fan of setting powders. I purchased this at IMATS last year during one of those random spending moments I occasionally suffer from. There has been a lot of mixed reviews about this setting powder. Personally, I think it’s quite good and does what it’s supposed to do.
What I like about the Make Up For Ever HD Powder:
- The powder itself feels very silky, fine & lightweight.
- Sets makeup well and matifies skin.
- Did not cause me to break out.
- Talc free – I was reading that talc can cause irritation and dryness because it absorbs moister from the skin. So it’s better to pick products that are talc free.
It is important to note that this is a silica powder which means that it will reflect white in flash photography. The Make Up For Ever HD powder retails for $48, a bit on the pricey side in my opinion. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, I have used Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder which achieved the same results for a quarter of the price.
Have you tried Make Up For Ever HD powder?
