Here are some of my personal tips for you.I know teaching your toddler how to brush their teeth is so hard, as in hard, because they tend just to eat that minty toothpaste and play with the brush. Tip #1:
Download a video from YouTube about how to brush the teeth. Remember your target is to teach them how to brush their teeth on their own in a right way.I prefer two kinds of video; first one is a toddler like them that is brushing his teeth.So that he can mimic the actions of the kid in the video.Second is that jolly video of an animated kid who can teach him, brushing his torch with fun background songs and lyrics.
Tip #2:
I always join my kid and do brush my teeth whenever he needs to; this tip is very reliable because he tends to do the same steps you are doing.Tip #3:
Before we start brushing, I always sing to him this song, "Brush, brush, brush your teeth, " I repeat this lyrics and he become excited to do so..Tip #4:
Have a schedule of when he needs to brush his teeth; this tip will help him remember that on that specific time he needs to brush his teeth. I do Every morning after waking up, lunch time and before going to bed.Tip #5
